The House of Representatives!!!

On January 3rd 2011 Jonathan David McNiven was sworn into the Montana House of Representatives!!! Jon's dad and I and the boys drove up together to be there. It was awesome!!! We took lots of pictures all around the capital building. I am so proud of him!!! Enjoy the pics. (I wish I could upload the video of when he was sworn in but for some reason it won't work.)

Where's Waldo.....I mean Jon?

This was the ceiling!!!  So pretty!!!

Catch up!!!

So, I'm a little behind. It's already a week into the new year and I haven't even posted anything since Halloween. So here is a recap of what we have done in the last few months.

My highlight this year was my sister Julie coming to visit me with here youngest, Emery. As we always do when we are together we had a wonderful time. I only wish that she could have stayed longer. It was also nice to have her here for Anderson's birthday party.

Anderson had a birthday Nov. 9th. He turned 4 yrs old!!! I can't believe that my baby is that old.

Thanksgiving was wonderful with lots of yummy food and lots of things to be thankful for!!!

On the 22nd of Dec. Landen and Gage had there Christmas program at school. Landen's was "Christmas in the West". He was the Mayor of the town and did GREAT! Gage's was "A Bug's Christmas". He was a little termite. They both were soooo cute!!!

Landen's the one in the black hat.

I'm sad that the pictures didn't turn out that well
but oh well. It was cute!!!
Christmas was wonderful!!! I LOVE this time of year! I am so thankful for that Heavenly Father has given me the gift of his only begotten Son. I am thankful for all my many, many blessings that I am able to partake of because of his life, and the fulfillment of his mission here on earth. "God be thanked for the matchless gift of his divine Son" (The Living Christ)
This year I decided to follow my family tradition of decorating ginger bread houses. We had so much fun that I am sure we will continue in the years ahead. Even my father-in-law got into it. We also went Christmas caroling which has turned into something wonderful, without it, it wouldn't feel like Christmas. Christmas Eve we also read the Nativity as a family. Christmas morning the boys were very excited about what "Santa" had brought them and even what "Mom and Dad" gave them. It was lots and lots of fun!!!

This was the beautiful sunrise we had Christmas morning!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

I have to say that Halloween is not my favorite holiday, but this year we had a lot of fun.  Last night we had our trunk-or-treat at the church which is always fun.  I decided to dress up this year as a clown that not even Jon recognized.  Landen and Gage were skeletons that I dubbed "The Bone Brothers" and Anderson was my little Ninja!!!  We had loads and loads of fun!

My three little pumkins!

We ended up winning "most scary" at the Trunk-or-Treat!

Family Pictures!!!

While my parents were in town we took the opportunity to take family pictures and generational pictures as well.  It was nice to be able to have both sets of grandparents there.
